At work

Andrew graduated from Cardiff University with a 2:1 in Politics and International Relations. His first role after university was in a call centre for a car rental company. While it wasn’t a long-term position, he enjoyed the client-facing aspect of the job.

Given Andrew’s longstanding interest in finance, pursuing a career in financial planning felt like the logical next step.

He started in the industry in 2019 and joined Depledge in 2023. Since then, Andrew has been developing his knowledge and taking pride in supporting clients in achieving their financial and lifestyle goals.

At Depledge, Andrew works with his identical twin Chris.

At home

Andrew enjoys living in a central apartment in Manchester and going out to local bars and restaurants.

In his spare time, Andrew plays golf, supports Manchester City FC, and watches Formula 1.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Certificate in Advanced Financial Planning

    This is a single three-hour narrative paper at Level 6. It covers: the financial planning process; existing provisions for realising objectives; retirement and estate planning; risk management; financial and budgetary management; and creating a financial plan.

  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning

    This meets the FCA's qualification requirements for retail investment advisers and helps candidates to develop core technical knowledge and financial planning capabilities.

  • Certificate in Ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI)

    This short course is essential learning for anyone wanting to understand the fundamental ethical and management issues in the deployment of AI in finance.
