At work
Daniel’s love for mathematics manifested into a career in financial planning. He joined Depledge in 2017 after graduating with a first-class honours mathematics degree from Durham University.
Initially, Daniel supported financial planners with calculations, reports and helping to formulate advice before becoming a financial planner himself in 2022.
Now he enjoys using his technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to help a wide range of people with their financial planning requirements to help them achieve their goals.
At home
Daniel enjoys spending his spare time with his wife, dog, and wider family.
He is a keen golfer and enjoys travelling, attending concerts and following a number of sports, including rugby league, football, and Formula 1. Daniel has also played semi-professional football.
In the spotlight
The proudest moment of my career was:
Passing the CISI Level 7 Diploma in Advanced Financial Planning, the highest level qualification in Financial Planning, which requires a master’s degree level of study.
The three things I love most about my job are:
Listening to people talk about their goals in life, working through complex cases to find a solution, and meeting and helping people of all ages from a wide range of backgrounds.
The types of people I most enjoy working with are:
People who are thinking about their future retirement and want to understand how they can achieve the lifestyle they desire.
