The worthiest of causes
Since 2019, we no longer send cards to clients at Christmas, but instead make a donation to Francis House Children’s Hospice.
From their site in Didsbury, Francis House gives a lifeline to more than 600 families from across Greater Manchester. The hospice provides high levels of clinical care to the families of children and young adults with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
If you refer us to a friend, family member, or colleague, we’ll also donate £50 to Francis House on your behalf (or another charity of your choosing).
Always on target
Depledge is incredibly proud to sponsor Golborne Sports JFC, our local youth football team.
As part of Golborne Sports and Social Club, the team has roots going all the way back to 1959.
Knowledge, shared
Our principal director, Andrew Day, is a registered education champion with the Personal Finance Society (PFS).
Through the PFS “My Personal Finance Skills” initiative, he’s delivered financial workshops to students in the following local schools to date:
- Shelley College
- Lowton High School
- Laurus Cheadle Hulme
- Stretford Grammar School
- Bridgewater School, Worsley
- Altrincham Grammar School for Girls
- Poynton High School and Performing Arts College
Going the distance
On 19 April, Edward took part in the Manchester Marathon, raising funds for Money Ready, an organisation that helps educate young people in financial matters.
His target was 3 hours 15 minutes and he came in below at 3 hours 12 minutes 28 seconds. However, the last 6 miles or so were a killer and he now knows what hitting the wall feels like.
Meanwhile, Andrew is preparing for a 5.25-mile open-water swim in Coniston Lake on 20th June 2026 to raise money for Lifeshare – Manchester’s oldest charity dedicated to supporting homeless and vulnerable people across Greater Manchester.
