My name is William Annison, and I’m the managing director at HWWA Consulting. We’re a firm of employee benefits consultants, and we have worked hand-in-hand with Depledge Wealth Management for about nine years. We advise employers and companies on their employee benefits and also communicate the benefits to their staff members.

We had an existing relationship with somebody who then went to work with Depledge Wealth Management, and that’s how we were first introduced to them. That gave us a good deal of reassurance – we were able to get to know Andrew and the other advisers too, and that’s how our relationship has built over the years. We’ve been working together for a very long time now, and the partnership has been very successful.

Our main points of contact at businesses are finance directors or heads of HR, so we tend to deal with quite senior people. Part of our role is to provide support to employees regarding their benefits, and typically, we will talk to them about their workplace pensions. During one-to-one meetings, it’s a natural occurrence that we will come across people who will need further advice. They’ll need genuine, tailored, bespoke advice from someone. When we come across people who are in that situation – perhaps they’re reaching retirement, or they’re close to making decisions that will affect them at that period of time – we will make an introduction to Depledge.

It’s important when you make any recommendation that you do your own due diligence, ensuring the people you refer are going to be looked after. It is very reassuring that the advisers and the firm are highly qualified. They are also experts in dealing with high net worth individuals and their tax issues, which can be quite complicated. We have a number of mutual clients, and therefore, the reassurance is simply that the feedback we get has always been positive, and so we’re very happy to continue our relationship.

The most valuable part of our relationship is the trust that’s involved. We introduce them to potential clients, and the feedback was 100% satisfactory, and that’s what you want. Our reputation is also on the line in terms of who we introduce people to, and therefore, it’s very reassuring when things go well.
